Work(ish) blog
I've been keeping a marketing / branding blog for a few months now at bettercourse.org. I tend to use it for the more abstract things I think about at work that don't necessarily have a place in emails about meetings...

This looks really interesting! I have a domain name and everything for mine but really must get off my arse and do it.

Thank you! Look forward to reading yours when it starts - I've always enjoyed your LJ posts about work so more of that sounds good.

Cheers Alex

I find your posts there really interesting, perhaps because I get an insight into your professional life, something we don't normally talk about. I could end up using one of your blog posts in one of my lessons, if I end up teaching about products and advertising again, which I hope to do (I really want to use the terrifying episode of The Apprentice I taped for this purpose, the one where they design trainers).

That Joe Moran book also looks very stimulating, again an area of knowledge that I know next to nothing about - always piques my curiosity. (I'm reading a book about investment strategies at the moment, which is having the same effect. Picked it up on impulse 'cos it was one of the ones on offer with something else I wanted to read).

PS beer soon?

I think you'd get loads out of the Moran - [info]infov0re is reading it just now, otherwise I'd lend it. It's very much in the social science / politics of the everyday sphere, so I think you'd get a lot from it from the teaching point of view as well.

Like to talk more about your products + advertising teaching too, that sounds interesting. Beer soon, definitely. Is the George tomorrow pm any good for you?

Hmmm. I have a date in Ilford for most of the day, listening to reggae. I could make it in for a pint after that, I think. I'll ask Catherine to confirm/deny tomorrow afternoon, as I'm still phoneless.

That was me obviously. Catherine will give you a call later, but I am quite up for it I think. I didn't realise it was Friday!

Thank you! I work for a business school as well, so there's lots I can do in terms of book reviews and write ups of seminars I go to that I think could be interesting - going to look to write more about those kinds of things in the future.
